Sometimes university doesn't go to plan
It was great to catch up with Harry who came along to the 'Get My Kid A Great Job' seminar in Duston in January. Harry had started university in September and it just wasn't working for him. He decided to take some time out....to take stock...and asked if I could help him find a good role through to next September, when he might return to university or might start an Apprenticeship. I worked on his CV, contacted a bunch of people, and helped him locate a great role. Harry gave me some great feedback too...
"Dale, you really understood what I was looking for. You helped me find a job that I just wouldn't have known about, and it's now given me the time to think about what I am going to do next. Thanks for your support"
Having the resilience to be able to pick yourself up, dust yourself down, and then maybe even change direction is such a valuable skill to have...because sometimes life just isn't what we hoped or expected it to be. And from what I've seen, I reckon Harry is going to do just great, whichever direction he takes next.
