Supporting non-uni A Level students
It was really great to spend the day at Caroline Chisholm School in Northampton working with 6th formers who have decided not to go to university this September. My job is to link them to employers and industry experts who can help them get a better understanding of what it's really like to work in a particular industry. You see, if you go to university, you get to look around a few institutions before you make your choice....chat to lecturers and students, check out the facilities etc. So wouldn't it make sense if we did the same when thinking about work? This project will help the 6th formers at Caroline Chisholm School to make better informed decisions about their future, and introduce them to people who can help them develop their careers. I'm looking forward to introducing this group of young people to some great influencers, and then seeing them use the contacts and info to get their great first job.
