Declan Rice had NEVER scored from a direct free kick in a match. Actually in 338 matches.

Last night? He scored two. Against Real Madrid. And against someone considered the best goalkeeper in the world.

He doesn’t normally take the free kicks — that’s usually Saka or Ødegaard. But this time he did.

Why?

Because they’d seen how hard he’d practiced.

They trusted him. And he backed himself.

He was ready.

He’d PREPARED for that moment. 💪

And then when the chance came again, his confidence was sky high. 📈

I’ve been helping young people get ready for Degree Apprenticeship interviews — and one question often comes up:

“How can I be more confident?”

👉 Prep like Declan Rice. Put the work in.

Be the most prepared candidate they’ll meet.

I bet Declan Rice’s heart was beating just a bit faster as he stepped up to take those free kicks.

That’s normal. That means it matters.

But when the moment comes — you’ll be ready. ✅

You've done the work. Now show up and deliver.
