120 LinkedIn profiles created, 50 student CVs - My Great First Job’s first visit to Scotland!
Dale had the fantastic opportunity to work with students at Glenalmond College, marking My Great First Job’s first in-person training at a Scottish school - and what a brilliant experience it was!
✅ 50 CVs created
✅ 120 LinkedIn profiles set up
✅ 40 staff attended a CPD session on LinkedIn
The response and student engagement was incredible. Students left with tangible results - from strong CVs to LinkedIn profiles, ready to showcase their skills, network, and explore opportunities.
Some even posted on LinkedIn for the first time (shoutout to the rugby players 🏉, who really embraced it!).
The impact was clear from the feedback:
💬 "This session was incredibly helpful! I’ve already found several apprenticeship and volunteering opportunities. Thank you so much for your support!"
💬 "I didn't really know about LinkedIn, and you showed me the opportunities it provides, especially in terms of finding internships and potentially jobs. I hope that I can benefit from this in the future."
LinkedIn is often an untapped tool in helping students build their networks, explore career paths, and stand out in competitive applications.
If your school wants to give students a head start on their professional journey, My Great First Job would love to help.
