HOW TO WRITE A GREAT FIRST CV
Who's it for? Year 12 and 13 students
What's it about?
If we're honest, we rarely see a young person whose CV is going to really work for them. We can sort that!
Ideally we run this is 2 x 60 minute practical sessions with students creating/amending their CV on their laptop in the session.
It's all about making sure the students looking for Apprenticeships get the same level of support as those applying to university.
DEGREE APPRENTICESHIPS... WHAT ARE THEY ALL ABOUT?
Who's it for? Year 12 / 13 students + parents
What's it about?
Degree Apprenticeships can sometimes feel like the secret no-one has let you in on. This sessions helps students figure out if they might be right for them. We cover the different types of Degree Apprenticeships, how to apply for them and what that process looks like, how the finance works, when to apply and where to find the opportunities.
HUH? WHAT'S A COVER LETTER?
Who's it for? Year 2/13 students
What's it about?
A shorter session that can be bolted onto the CV Workshop. Most young people won't have written any letters - and now they've been asked to send in a Cover Letter! We cover what to include and how to make it specific to each company.
10 WAYS TO FIND A GREAT FIRST JOB

We normally run this session in the Summer Term with the theme of '10 Things You Can Do This Summer'. The session takes the key points from all the topics we cover and suggests students 'Do One Thing' during the Summer break.
WHY STUDENTS NEED A LINKEDIN PROFILE & HOW TO USE IT
Who's it for? Students and Teachers
What's it about?
LinkedIn isn't just a social media platform; it's your go-to hub for connecting with businesses, employers, and like-minded career groups. We'll guide you on creating and launching your profile, where to find people and groups with similar career interests, and elevating your personal brand through LinkedIn. This session can delivered to an assembly as an 'awareness' session or to smaller groups as a practical workshop.
HOW TO ABSOLUTELY SMASH YOUR INTERVIEW
Who's it for? Year 12 / 13 students
What's it about? Congratulations, your great CV got you in the room, and now it's your time to shine. We've got heaps of valuable hints, tips, and hands-on activities to ensure you emerge as the standout candidate for the job! We'll show students how to prepare, what questions to ask, how to sell their skills....and above all remind them that an interview isn't a memory test or an exam they can't take their books into!
