140 6th Formers. 140 LinkedIn profiles. A busy Monday morning!
We had the pleasure of delivering a “LinkedIn for Students” session at Royal Russell School in Surrey to 140 Year 12 students....all armed with their devices and ready to go.
Some were starting completely from scratch.
Some had dipped a toe into LinkedIn.
Only a couple were really using the platform.
By the end of the session?
👇
140 students with active profiles and a clear understanding of how to use the platform strategically.
We focused on:
💪 The key visual elements that make a strong first impression
🔎 How to search for and connect with the right people - especially young people already doing the jobs they aspire to
💡 What content to share to showcase their interests and achievements
💻 Why LinkedIn is really their personal website
It was a super practical session - short inputs from Dale, then straight into action….then back to the big screen for more input…then back onto the laptops.
A huge thank you to Jennifer Harris, Careers Lead at Royal Russell who organised the session and shared this feedback with us afterwards:
“We really enjoyed Dale's interactive session for Year 12 on setting up and using LinkedIn.
Our Year 12 pupils came away with profiles set up and the confidence to use the platform to investigate professional roles, create opportunities and start building that all important quality network.
I highly recommend Dale's workshops to others.”
