The Ripple Effect

Sometimes you can trace back an opportunity that rippled 🌊 through a whole chain of people. This week Dale visited Repton School for the first time. Here’s how it happened.

Free webinar ➡️ Aspire Higher ➡️ University of Northampton ➡️ Stowe School ➡️ Repton School

Staff from Aspire Higher attended a webinar Dale ran which led to him delivering a session at the University of Northampton

Luciane Guntner at Stowe School was at that session and invited Dale to work with their students.

Stowe School hosted a session for Careers Leaders and Dale was asked to speak about Degree Apprenticeships....and Luke Jones from Repton School was there.

Luke subsequently invited Dale to Repton. And what a day it was! 🙂

He worked with the whole of Year 12 on Personal Branding, focusing on how they can use Year 12 to explore their interests and gain experiences that will give them something meaningful to talk about in future CVs and personal statements.

Then he spoke to the whole of Year 13 about Degree Apprenticeships, making sure everyone understood the option, and knew they could apply for both university and Degree Apprenticeships.

In the evening, Luke and Dale were joined by Jacob Ingleston-Orme, a recent Repton alumnus who is now a Degree Apprentice at Rolls-Royce, for a live webinar with Repton School's parents.

Dale talked about Degree Apprenticeships, and Jake talked about actually doing one. Sharing his experience gave students and parents a perspective that you can't get from a presentation alone.

And now Jacob gets to start his own ripple 🌊 by sharing that experience with other young people!
