Getting started is always the toughest step…
Getting started is always the toughest step…..so it was great to help Year 13 students from West London Free School in Hammersmith take that step and start their Degree Apprenticeship Applications 🎓
Dale met the students last Summer when he gave a Personal Branding assembly and they also heard from Hal Toolan and Bailey Cooper, 2 brilliant former students who had secured Degree Apprenticeships.
And 4 months on…well guys, it’s time to get moving 📈
We spent some time revising CVs, planning LinkedIn profiles, understanding the key questions that will come up at interviews…and making sure they knew how to tell their story 📖
The range of occupations students were looking at was wide…including construction management, finance, environmental engineering and healthcare.
The toughest part after getting started is keeping going…and if these students can keep motivated and support each other, they are going to secure some great opportunities.
Dale is excited to meet these guys again and see how they are progressing.
Huge thanks to Alexis Allan and Louise Duckett for arranging this and looking after Dale on the day.
It was awesome to get this message from one of the guys afterwards,
“I must say you're (Dale) a fantastic speaker - I'll be working to implement all of the advice you gave us. I look forward to updating you sometime soon when I've got a bit more motion!”
Can’t wait!!! 😀
