🎬 Apprenticeships in Construction

Recording of Construction Apprenticeships webinar
Construction Apprenticeships

🧱 Apprenticeships in Construction - well that’s a huge topic to cover……but we gave it a good shot.

🎬 See below👇 for the link to the recording and the resources we talked about on the session.

🪚 The session started by looking at TRADE APPRENTICESHIPS - the college courses and apprenticeship routes into them.

Lots of young people will go to a college for a year to gain some basic 'trade' skills but then need to find 👀 an employer to continue onto their Apprenticeship…….so we shared some really practical ways to find an employer.

👩🏻‍💻 Check out our tips for completing the online application forms. ✅

The second half of the session was about trainee management roles in construction and we were so privileged to have Norma Odain-Hines and Christabel Adjei on the session from Morgan Sindall - one of the UK’s largest construction companies.

Norma shared with us how important ‘work experience’ can be in introducing yourself to a company and then we heard Christabel’s inspiring story as she carves out a career in site management. It's worth listening to this webinar just to hear Christabel's contribution!

Great feedback from the session 📣 :

“Yet another interesting & inspiring webinar which was obviously relevant to the industry/sector that I currently work in. Both Norma and Christabel's contribution to the session were very engaging & I'm confident that what they talked about would have inspired any students thinking of Careers in Construction and also given valuable content to parents/Careers advisors that were on the call.“
